computer not booting up

Are you facing the problem of pc not starting? I mean that nothing appearing on the screen. You push the power button and pc comes alive but after 5 or 6 seconds again dead.

Well, if nothing appears on your screen then first of all check whether the power button on your monitor is on becuase these days all LCD and TFT screens have a very small and smooth power button so we confuse it.

Second, check the brightness and contrast of your monitor. It might have happened that some kids came to your house and might have played around with the brightness and contrast settings.

Third, this is the last thing you can do is that check your monitor cable. Plug it off the cpu and reinsert it.
Now, after this much effort your monitor must be up an running.

The second problem is that pc again and again turns off. So here is the simple solution.
Take out the ram of your pc and insert it again. It is illustrated in the image below.
What you have to do is open your case (remember to pull out the power cable first) and then on the motherboard find the chip (ram stick) which is held in the image above. Then after you locate it, pull the plastic bars on either sides of the ram to outside (opposite than the chip). By doing this the ram will pop out. then again adjust the ram on the slot and then pressing the ram downward by the fingers, again push the two plastic bars inside (towards ram) and the ram will be fixed (don't press too hard).

Most of the times the problem is fixed by doing this but if it doesn't then email me your problem at matneo123@yahoo.com.
